The Magic Field is the story of Cardmella, a little scarecrow who goes on a journey to turn her dreams into reality exploring the power of her imagination. It is a work-in-progress installation fusing old-school puppetry and moving dioramas with cutting-edge AR technology to tell this magical story. These beautifully handcrafted story boxes will have QR codes located within them which will trigger an animation that can be viewed through an iPad or a smartphone device.
Originally commissioned as part of the Ready, Steady, SHOW! at The Civic with the support of the Arts Council through the YPCE Bursary Awards.
